UPDATE: A Florida Angler pulls in a 10+ ft, est. 540 lb Mako shark from a south Florida beach, at night . . . food for thought on naively swimming with the geostrategic and spiritual sharks

Just when you may have thought it safe to go back into the waters at odd hours, here is a report on a shark surf fisherman in Florida reeling in an estimated 540 lb, 10+ ft, 5-ft girth Mako shark from the beach in the panhandle region of Florida [NW coast on the Gulf of Mexico; cf Sportfishing article here], at night:

(As in, don't try this at home, folks. These folks seem to be paddling out in kayaks to lay their baits. And, it may be wise to think twice about going swimming off beaches at night.)

Food for thought, of course, on naively swimming with the geostrategic and spiritual sharks, as was discussed the other day, here at KF. END
