In so commenting, I have often made reference to the following diagram:
Now, Bob Unruh of WND documents yet another case in point, here from radical homosexualist factions in a state legislature in the USA:
Democrat members of the Colorado Senate have told Christians there’s no place in society for them, warning them to “get thee to a nunnery” for their biblically based beliefs that homosexuality is a sin.
“What to say to those who claim that religion requires them to discriminate? I tell you what I’d say: ‘Get thee to a nunnery, and live there then. Go live a monastic life, away from modern society, away from people you can’t see as equals to yourself,’” said homosexual state Sen. Pat Steadman of Denver.
He was advocating for a “civil unions” bill in Colorado that skirts the state’s constitutional definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman. The bill essentially provides the benefits of marriage to those who choose the homosexual lifestyle.
The bill died in a Republican-controlled House last year, but this year, with Democrats in the majority in both houses, it is expected to be approved – but with a difference.
Steadman has removed last year’s provision that would have allowed business owners of faith to make decisions on how they would provide their own services.
Steadman expressed absolutely no tolerance for those of faith.
He also said the issue of the mandatory recognition by all of homosexuality was why he ran for public office.
“It’s very rewarding to know something I worked on for many years is this close to becoming reality,” he told the local CBS affiliate.
“Go some place and be as judgmental as you like, go inside your church, establish separate water fountains if you like. But don’t tell me that your free exercise of religion requires the state of Colorado to establish separate water fountains,” he said, according to a report on Denver’s KDVR television. The allusion to separate water fountains is especially revealingly poisonous, as it points to the former racial discrimination against people who are black.
But, racial origin is genetically innate and has no negative moral reference.
Sinful, perverted, personally destructive as well as socially destructive -- notice how these behaviours are now threatening to ruin marriage, a foundational and stabilising social institution -- and unhygienic, warning-label dangerous, objectively disordered sexual behaviours are simply not like that, as can easily be confirmed here.
What this is, instead, is a case of:
a: usurpation of the power and colours of law through domination by a party that is harbouring some seriously questionable agendas.
b: Where, such domination is being used to advance an anti-Christian discriminatory agenda. Where also
c: we must also notice the clever twist-about rhetoric being used by those setting out on persecution of Christians, that it is the Christians who are morally equivalent to racists for standing on well-founded moral principle.
d: The intended persecution targets principled Bible-believing Christians (of all colours) for
e: daring to take the teachings of the Bible on the status of Jesus as demonstrated Son of God with power by the resurrection of the dead seriously, and as a result taking the explicit moral teachings of the OT he endorsed -- including on marriage and linked Creation-Order sexual ethics -- and of the apostles he sent (including Paul) seriously.
f: Here, in effect the usurpers are saying that save you take the "mark" you may not buy or sell, i.e.
g: this is tantamount to saying, you must choose between your conscience -- your soul -- and being able to earn your daily bread. Which is monstrous, for he who would rob me of my means to daily bread would rob me of my life. And, he who tries to offer me a choice between my conscience -- so also, my soul -- and my means to daily bread threatens both.
h: Surely, the Senator, or at least his party, must think again. In that context, we must also turn our attention eastwards, to hear A Q Khan, father of the
i: In addition, the State Senator wantonly and falsely accuses Christians of "discrimination," by viewing homosexuals as "people you can’t see as equals to yourself."
j: This is so wantonly in disregard to duties of care to truth and fairness that it is a slanderous false accusation, a lie (cf. definition) meant to poison the atmosphere, in the teeth of the explicit NT teaching:
k: In short, just like all of us as fallen people, those who indulge in sexual perversions are equally enmeshed in sin. We all -- whether foul mouthed drunkards or greedy graspers or adulterers or those indulging in perversions makes no difference -- equally need to repent and find reformation of life through the grace and gospel of God. Where,1 Cor 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality,10 Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.11 And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God. l: the 12-step type recovery programme pioneered by alcoholics (and which emphasises penitence from sinful behaviour and seeking the help of God to overcome the resulting bondage) therefore offers a proved road to recovery from life-dominating, addictive or habituating sins.
Here, MEMRI warns:
Using the micro-blogging website Twitter, former Pakistani nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan glorifies the advancement of the Pakistani nuclear program, inculcates global Islamism among his followers, and seeks to legitimize attacks against the West.[1] Khan is chairperson of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Pakistan (TTP or the Movement for the Defense of Pakistan), a new political party . . . . On December 26, 2012, Khan retweeted a post in his honor by the Shi'ite group Jaferia News Network – @JNNsms – that noted in Urdu: "No Muslim can make an atomic bomb unless he enjoys the patronage of Muhammad and his family members."In short, we are warned that the Pakistani nukes are an umbrella under which Islamist causes are to advance, including in alliance with terrorist organisations.
Apparently endorsing a likely North Korean nuclear design against America, he tweeted two days earlier that Pyongyang "may have nuclear missile technology that could hit the U.S. West Coast" – which was linked to a news report by the British newspaper Daily Mail. On September 27, 2012, he praised Pakistani military leader Ziaul Haq saying he "was a dictator but he was a patriotic ruler" and in another tweet the same day stressed the strength of the nuclear-capable state of Pakistan with regard to its foreign policy relations with the West: "[With Pakistan] even having nuclear capability, it is wrong perception that we cannot take action against the United States, England or France." . . . .
in a tweet on September 27, 2012, he suggested that Pakistan's Hamza series of missiles could be given to the Pakistani Taliban without Pakistani army involvement in order to target the U.S. drones, stating: "By even giving Hamza missile to our brothers [i.e. the Taliban] in FATA [federally administered tribal areas of Pakistan], we can destroy drones in Pakistan without army assistance." On September 22, 2012, his tweets stressed that following the paths shown by the Koran and Sunnah (deeds and sayings of Prophet Muhammad) is the best way to hurt the West, stating: "The act of Muslims that hurts the West the most is the following [of] Koran and Sunnah. We must follow them to give them an answer"; "One who is a servant of the prophet, he is our leader…" . . . .
Writing about the current state of the Pakistani nuclear program, Khan tweeted on August 21, 2012: "Pakistan's nuclear program is far advanced than any other nation even when we're competing any highly developed nation"; "Atom bomb wasn't called Pakistan bomb; it was named Islamic bomb as it has showed the world we can still do better than what you do"; "Our nation has never learnt to live under fear; we're brave people and we'll stay strong no matter, how much you'll try to suppress us!" A tweet dated August 22, 2012 noted: "Today we've surpassed even America (founders of nuclear warfare) in terms of nuclear advancement…."
In case that agenda is doubted, consider this further clip:
A September 21, 2012 post he retweeted reveals his ideological stance on Pakistani politics and society: "Come forward as servants of Islam, organize the people economically, socially, educationally and politically." Advocating an international Islamism, he tweeted on October 2, 2012: "Pakistan is bound to become the headquarters of the world Islamic government in future!"Which, we need to remind ourselves [Pakistan as capital aside . . . ], is the exact global Islamist agenda for this century (cf. captured documents here and here). In another by now familiar image:
None of this, of course, has been seriously brought o our attention in our regional and the major international media. If we want to understand our times -- instead of being manipulated by what the news editors and writers, opinion leaders and politicians want us to focus on to their advantage -- we have to look elsewhere.
It is time for us to wake up and understand what magnitude of challenges we face. END
